How does EmpowerReviews reach my customers?
Your reviewers will receive a request to review your business through EmpowerReviews via email, text, or finding the review
form on a website. There are many ways that this can be done.
1. A simple way is for one of your company’s team members to manually send an email or text message to each customer.
2. Alternatively, the review request link can be integrated into an existing email or text message that is sent out through your system automatically. For example, your internal customer management system has a feature to email or text customers after they have completed the purchase of a service or product.
If you these options are not optimal for your needs, we offer managed solutions for an additional fee. These include:
1. Your company securely shares your customer contact information with the EmpowerReviews team and we email or text your customers on your behalf. Typically, this is done through the provision of spreadsheet of your reviewers in a format such as XLSX (Microsoft Excel)CSV, or XML.
2. EmpowerReviews integrates with your existing customer management system that contains your customers contact email or phone number for texting via an API or web service to automate the process. The reviewer is then automatically sent an email or text after they have purchased a product or completed a service.
What is a positive and negative review?
A positive review is any review that meets your the threshold that you determine as acceptable. Your company determines the threshold that qualifies as a ‘positive’ review, which is the minimum level of stars that a reviewer can supply that will yield an invitation to publicly post their feedback. Any reviews that do not meet this threshold are considered a negative review.
What happens to both the positive and negative reviews?
All reviews are captured in the EmpowerReviews platform and email notifications will be sent to your company as each review is submitted. You can log in to EmpowerReviews at any time to view all submitted reviews.
When a positive review is submitted, the customer is automatically directed to your selected third party review sites.
Negative reviews submitted are only captured in the EmpowerReviews platform and NOT directed to any third party review sites.
How do I know if I have a system that automatically emails or texts my customers?
Many customer management systems offer features to automatically email or text customers after they have purchased a product or completed a service. Some systems automatically email a receipt, request a follow up or send meeting details on a scheduled appointment. Some examples of these types of systems may be called a patient management system, ERP system, Appointment management, dealer management system, customer relationship management (CRM).

Is EmpowerReviews HIPAA compliant?
Yes! EmpowerReviews is HIPAA compliant. For those who need to meet the requirements of HIPAA or any privacy requirements, EmpowerReviews has an option to turn on privacy in order to meet these requirements.
Does EmpowerReviews share my contacts and data to any third party organizations?
Never. EmpowerReviews does not and will not share or sell any client information with any third party organizations.
